Missouri Youth in Agriculture
Mission Statement

The mission of the Youth in Agriculture Committee shall be to provide Missouri Agricultural Youth with leadership and personal growth opportunities through educational programs, competitive events and scholarships at the Missouri State Fair financed by corporate and individual sponsorships and the Sale of Champions to be promoted and secured by Youth in Agriculture Committee members.

Supporting Youth in Agriculture is a wonderful way to participate in the Missouri State Fair.  In 2012 more than 4,000 4-H and FFA members competed at the Missouri State Fair and we are anticipating a large number of participants in 2013.

The Sale of Champions is one of the showcase events of the fair.  The Sales recognizes the accomplishments of 12 young agriculturalists with their livestock projects.

In addition, 20+ high school seniors will receive scholarships and one supreme
scholarship will be awarded by the Missouri State Fair Youth in Agriculture Committee.

Thirty percent of the purchase price of all Sales of Champion animals is placed in the Youth in Agriculture fund; the remaining 70% is awarded to the exhibitor.

How can you be part of the Youth in Agriculture or the Sale of Champions?

The Youth in Agriculture Fund and the Sale are both dependent on your support.  Donations of all sizes can be utilized to encourage and reward young people.  Your financial help will make a difference and help youth to accomplish their goals.
